The Reserve - Missouri City, Texas
Retire to Missouri City, and live in a city rich with Texas history, dating back to the state's early days as part of the United States. In August of 1853, the Buffalo Bayou, Brazos, and Colorado Railway (BBB&C) began operating its first twenty miles of rail line stretching from Harrisburg (now Houston) to Stafford's Point (now Stafford). It was the first railroad to operate in Texas, and the first standard gauge railroad west of the Mississippi River.
Today, the area boasts more than a historic railroad, with major freeways, rail lines and only minutes from downtown Houston, the Port of Houston, Bush and Hobby Airports, and all the amenities a large city like Houston has to offer. It is experiencing a population and employment boom, and it is even hometown to our current Miss USA. Now how sweet is that!
